About Us

Ysaan Books is a small literary press located in Sakon Nakhon, Thailand.

Our first book "Poems from Sakon Nakhon" was released in January, 2025, followed by the textbook "Learn Thai Culture Through Poetry," "เมล็ดใจบาน: Life Lessons from Isaan," "Why Thailand," and "Under the Weeping Fig" (Thai Poems of Love & Loss).

Our Mission

Ysaan Books has a mission to promote the arts, culture, and people of Northeast, Thailand.

Our focus is on Isaan poetry, literature, and non-fiction - in particular bilingual essays, poetry, and short stories written in both English and Thai. We currently are only accepting submissions from Thai writers.
